About Us

History

Belgrave Crescent Gardens located in the West End, contributing to the architectural and historically significant New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

They were established in 1877 by the proprietors of Belgrave Crescent who acquired the land in front of their houses to preserve and improve the view across the Valley of the Water of Leith.

The Gardens Today

The Gardens are one of the largest and most varied in Edinburgh, comprising an expansive lawn, woodland paths down to the Water of Leith and Dean Village, a children's playground and separate play-area, and a barbecue area.

Several events are run throughout the year, including an outdoor Carol Service and Summer Party, with the primary goal of supporting local charities.
